I've been where you are

For nearly 20 years, I built a career in corporate Human Resources, eventually landing in a senior leadership role. From the outside, it looked like success. On the inside, I was exhausted, stressed, dreading every single day, and running on empty.

I was always on my phone. I was snapping at my kids. My only real hobby was occasionally drinking with friends. I had negative thoughts on loop and spiraled easily. I spent more time regretting my past than living my present.

One day I quit. Just like that. And then I drifted for about a year, not really knowing what came next.

That's when I found breathwork. And honestly? I hated it at first. It felt too intense. I didn't get it. But something kept pulling me back — and by the third time, everything shifted. I felt something move in my body that no amount of therapy, journaling, or positive thinking had ever touched.

I got certified. Then I discovered Somatic Dance and Movement, and that took everything even deeper. I started feeling my emotions instead of outrunning them. I started moving and dancing regularly — not as exercise, but as medicine. And I found more joy than I'd felt in years.

I became a guide because too many people don't know this work exists. Or they think it's too woo. Or they tried it once and didn't get it — just like me.

I'm here to change that.

FAQS

Real Questions I Actually Get Asked

What exactly is somatic breathwork?

Somatic breathwork uses intentional breathing patterns to help your nervous system release stored stress, emotion, and tension from the body. The word "somatic" just means body-based — from the Greek word "soma," meaning body. Most of us spend our whole lives trying to think our way through pain, anxiety, and burnout. Somatic breathwork bypasses the mind and goes straight to where that stuff actually lives — in your body. No experience needed. Just a willingness to breathe.

What is Somatic Dance and how is it different from just dancing?

Somatic dance isn't about learning steps or performing. It's about using conscious movement and music to help your body release what it's been holding — stress, emotion, tension, old patterns. The word "somatic" just means body-based. So instead of dancing for an audience or following choreography, you're dancing as a way to process, feel, and heal. No experience needed. No judgment. Just you, your body, and permission to move however feels right.

Do I need dance experience for your movement sessions?

Nope! This isn't performance. It's not choreography. It's your body moving in whatever way feels right while being guided and supported in a completely judgment-free space.

Do you offer private sessions or 1:1 work?

Yes! I work with private clients 1:1 for both breathwork and somatic movement. Private sessions are a great fit if you want a more personalized experience, are navigating something specific, or just aren't ready for a group setting yet. I also offer group classes and events for organizations, wellness gatherings, and community spaces. If you're not sure what's right for you, just reach out — we'll figure it out together.

Do you work with organizations and corporate teams?

Yes — and this is actually close to my heart. After 20 years in corporate HR, I know what burnout looks like from the inside. I offer breathwork and somatic movement experiences for teams, leadership groups, wellness days, and corporate events. If you're ready to try something different let's talk.

What if I'm skeptical or this feels too "out there" for me?

Good. I was too. I hated breathwork the first time I tried it. Skepticism means you're paying attention. All I ask is that you try it with an open body. Your mind can stay skeptical for now.
